Marianne’s family have been raising money through charitable events for over 50 years. Her mother Eve Pettifor fostered a charitable culture within the family from a young age encouraging members of the family to raise funds for various charities.
In 2002 Marianne helped her mother set up a Charitable Trust for her favourite cause: animal welfare; she named it The Pettifor Trust – Devoted to the Welfare of Animals.
As part of the Marketing Strategy, Marianne wrote a book. This is a wonderful marketing and promotional tool, which as well as raising funds raised the charity’s profile considerably.
Marianne has appeared on both television and radio, and a theatre company turned her book into a play. The play is about the family’s hilarious escapades with animals, which often caused problems during their time running a small hotel on Gower.
This humorous book is well worth a read and is an ideal gift with every penny helping homeless animals who cannot speak for themselves.
